Job Summary:
Quasar’s Project Management Teams manage cross functional projects which include, Product & Process Development, Manufacturing Transfer, CIPs and Semi-Automation. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible to assure a project or multiple projects meet Customer expectations – defined by project scope, on time delivery - defined by schedule and Financial target - defined by budget objectives. Project managers work with NPD, BD / KAM, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across Quasar.
Responsibilities:
1. Achieve On-Time Delivery project performance objectives and report out progress to relevant Stakeholders at regular intervals.
2. Conduct project On-Time Delivery meetings.
3. Manage project scheduling and gap closure requirements by working together with the technical team as needed.
4. Audit baseline project schedules for all projects.
5. Hold core teams accountable to schedule and deliverables.
6. Provide input into capital expenditures and project/dept. budgets.
7. Track lessons learned and manage best practices.
8. Participate in and lead as required Phase Gate Reviews.
9. Ensure compliance with Quasar’s Quality System procedures.
10. Manage resource planning and staffing activities for specific projects.
11. Ensure accurate time tracking on projects as required.
12. Maintain accurate project data reporting and ensure accurate data report outs.
13. Resolve project conflicts and establish escalation path on all projects.
14. Ensure project closeout meetings and post-completion reviews are conducted.
15. Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to all team members on a regular basis.
16. Be a resource to facilitate the resolution of project issues by team members.
17. Drive compliance and remove barriers to achieve strategic initiatives and goals.
18. Ensure compliance to PMO processes, procedures, and use of PMO templates.
19. Regularly keep management informed of risks, issues, and status of on-going projects.
20. Understand and comply with Quality system and business practices necessary to complete job function.
21. Work with functional managers as needed to meet project objectives, on-time delivery, and identify/resolve resourcing issues.
Qualification:
1. Relevant degree in Engineering and / or business administration.
2. Formal project management training required. PMP certification preferred.
3. Three (3) or more years of Project Management Experience in NPD or Manufacturing of Medical Devices.
4. Experience in the matrix management of a project team.
5. Knowledge of FDA regulations preferred.
6. Must be results-oriented.
7. Demonstrated business acumen and confidence communicating to senior management and customers.
8. Demonstrated ability in managing systems, managing up, and managing peers.
9. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and programs and meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
10. Experience in Product/Project Lifecycle implementation and strong process and systems understanding preferred.
11. Basic knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and component or assembly design principles required.
12. Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, problem-solving required.
13. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project, on-line collaboration tools, and databases required.
