Vishay was founded in 1962 to manufacture and market foil resistors, headquartered in USA . The Company began operations with foil resistors and strain gages as its initial product offerings. In 1985, having grown from a start-up into the world's leading manufacturer of these original products, Vishay began an ongoing series of strategic acquisitions to become a broad-line manufacturer of electronic components that provides "one-stop shop" service to customers. Today, Vishay is one of the world's largest manufacturers of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components.

威世電子（惠州）有限公司是威世集團下屬公司之一。位于廣東省惠陽區淡水鎮，東臨大亞灣，距離深圳1小時車程。是惠州市百家大型外商投資企業之一，員工1500多人。主要生產鉭質電容、非線性電阻、陶瓷電容。1995年1月獲ISO9002品質認證。1999年8月獲ISO環保認證。2007年1月獲TS品質認證。
Vishay Components (Huizhou) Co.,Ltd, one of the subordinate corporations of Vishay Group、one of the hundred foreign investigated enterprise of Huizhou, located at Danshui Town, Huiyang Zone, Guangdong Province. It takes about 1 hour to drive from Shenzhen. We have more than 1500 employees; mainly manufacture Tantalum Capacitor, Non-liner Resistor & Ceramic Capacitor. We got ISO9002、ISO and TS certificates in January 1995、August 1999 and January 2007 respectively.
